Thank you for your interest in a mortgage adviser role at Nest Home Loans!
Below is an outline of our onboarding process for new staff members.
- CV review
Please send through your work history through to us directly or through seek.com
- First meeting
The first meeting is to get to know each other better! This is usually a meeting at our offices with two staff members who can tell you more about the company, how we work and what the role of a mortgage adviser is.
- Second meeting and testing
The second meeting is a more formal interview with an HR or recruitment professional who is external to Nest Home Loans. They will also be responsible for conducting any required testing. (computer skills etc.)
- Third meeting
In the third meeting, we go over the Nest Home Loans process and job requirements in more detail. You will also get to meet the other staff members if you haven’t already!
- Reference checks
Your references will not be contacted without your express permission. This will be conducted by an external person.
- Offer of employment
We will send through an offer of employment.
- Mortgage adviser qualifications
To be a mortgage adviser you will need to take a course in Residential Property Lending (RPL) and be working towards getting the New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5). The RPL course can be completed prior to starting work. The cost of all study is paid for by Nest Home Loans.
- Start date
Each Bank has its own application forms to be accredited which can be completed as soon as you have received your RPL certificate and have started work.
- Complete the Nest Home Loans training manual
We have an internal introductory course for new employees which will cover many of the aspects of your first year of being a Mortgage Adviser.
- Start working with clients
With the help of your manager, you will start working on client applications.
